If you're involved in the make-up and special effects industry, then you've already heard of IMATS -- the International Make-Up Artist Trade Show, which came to Vancouver last weekend on July 23rd & 24th. And New Image College was there! IMATS is a touring trade show, convention, gallery and networking extravaganza that covers the entirety of make-up and prosthetics. IMATS originated in 1997 with Make-Up Artist Magazine and creator / organizer Michael Key, and has become the top make-up industry event of each year. New Image instructors and grads have appeared at IMATS in separate capacities before, but this is the first time we've had our own exhibitor booth. Instructor and accoladed make-up artist Michelle Grady led a team of talented New Image College make-up students and grads including Jessica Martin, Sylvia Ma and Tomasz Sosnowski to dazzle IMATS with their beautiful work. New Image College, our students and faculty were proud to be part of this year's show! We'll be back next year with more magical make-up creations.
